You also need to unload everything, unpack, and get settled into your new home. And by the time you get to that stage of moving, you'll already be exhausted. Anything you can do to simplify the move-in process will be greatly beneficial. Here are five ways to make the move-in process easier.
HAVE YOUR MOVERS UNPACK FOR YOU
If you are hiring a moving company to help you move, hire one that offers unpacking services, too. Even if you ultimately end up moving things around into their permanent locations, having someone else un-box everything and reassemble your large furniture will take away a lot of the stress associated with moving in.
When looking for a mover, check to see whether they include unpacking in their original quote. If they do not include already, ask what it would cost to add unpacking services to your packages. CREATE A SCHEDULE
Moving in will feel a lot less overwhelming if you have a schedule to follow. So a week or two before your move, sit down and plan out the first week in your new home.
